The Bernardsville Fire Company #1 and First Aid Squad is deeply saddened to announce the passing of active member Mark Tamke.

Mark was a dedicated member for over 15 years, joining the department in 2008 and serving in various roles, including:

• Brush Truck Driver: 2010-2012, 2014-2015
• Engine 104 Driver: 2016, 2025
• Trustee: 2019-2024
• Vice President: 2025

In addition to these roles, Mark served on numerous committees, including as Head Trustee and Chair of Fundraising. He also brought joy to the community each year as Santa Claus during our annual Santa Run. His unwavering commitment to the department and deep pride in representing his hometown will leave a lasting legacy.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Laura, and his children, Farrell, Connor, Anna, and Mark, as well as his family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.
